Acer launches India's first Honeycomb Tablet, also a Dual Screen Notebook

Acer has launched India's first Honeycomb tablet.

Two days back Acer launched their Iconia series tablets in India. The Iconia A500 is the Honeycomb tablet that we are talking about.

The device runs on Tegra2 dual core processor - 1Ghz. It has a 10.1 inch screen. The Iconia A500 has an SD Card slot, a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, mini-HDMI port.

One thing in particular that we would like to point out is that the device has a full sized USB port. This is an amazing addition and the device surely does get extra brownie points for this.

The Iconia A500 has a front cam and a rear cam. The front one is a 2 MegaPixel camera and the rear one is a 5 MegaPixel camera.

One thing that catches our eye is that all the devices in this Iconia series look stunning. Just have a look at the pics we have added below.

Apart from the Iconia A500, the other device worth mentioning is the 'Iconia Dual Screen Notebook'. The name is self explanatory, the device has two screens. Just to make it clear, this is more of a laptop than a tablet. There is a virtual keyboard. The specs include 4 GB RAM, 640 GB HDD, Ethernet and Wi-Fi.

As far as pricing is concerned, Acer has got it bang on. The A500 will cost you Rs 27,900 and the 'Dual Screen Notebook' will cost you Rs 69,999
