iPad 2 breaks iPad1 initial record sales in the first weekend itself

Apple has sold around 1 Million iPad 2 tablets in the first weekend itself.

Many people saw the new iPad as just a mere update to the old one with no revolutionary change being done to the earlier device.

These sales numbers however speak a different story. Many outlets ran out the new iPad in the first few days.

The iPad 1 took 128 days to cross the 1 Million mark whereas the iPad 2 has done it in just about 3 days, astonishing to say the least.
